Saved from the doldrums by a call from Brigit reminding me that we have a "lunch" date. Whoo, I shall go eat hot food (lots of hot food. Hot feels good. Remind me not to put the cup up against my cheek and hold it there) and hear all about the Perils of Pauline (as it were) and how her mom is doing... Brigit doesn't get to escape from Mom-care often so this is a real treat. And she sounded chipper over the phone which might mean that Nasty Surgeon Doesn't-Give A Darn has been replaced by Nice Doctor Who Agrees That Being Able To Eat Solid Food For The Rest of Your Life Is Important. That would be nice. Brigit's mom deserves more in her life than two daily cler-fluid beverages and an IV.
