Switchover
And now we switchover from Quinn's birthday to Shawn's. Handy, that.
Shawn and his new friend, whose name is gonna be dead-easy for me to remember (Melissa, just like Zack's girfriend's name) came over for a few hours this evening. It was a lot like the old days when he and his 'sister' used to keep me company before going off to watch TV or play a video game. *sigh*
I raided my fabric stash and pulled out nearly every length of cloth that was not destined to be used for Arni or I. It's all piled up on the kitchen counter for me to hack and slash into something resembling garb. Then it shall be sewed and find new homes - one way or the other. I think I might even have room enough for all of my fabric to be put in the bins (rather than spilling over elsewhere) if I get this stuff cut & sewed and OUT OF HERE! There are three different lengths of fabric all purchased to be tunics for Gwenyth, none of which made me happy after they'd been washed. They're gonna be out of here, too, so they can stop rebuking me for poor choices.
There. But first, I shall sit at my computer and let the air conditioner blow cold air on me. 'Cause baby, it's hot and humid out there in the garage where the bins are, next to the washer and dryer (I try not to wash clothes during the day when the power usage is at maximum in my area, so that folk's air conditioners can run without a brown-out... not that my little bit really matters but I'm hoping other folks are doing the same. So that does mean that my garage is getting a bit steam right now while I'm washing fabric in hot water. Somehow, a length of green flannel got blue splotches on it. I wanted to use that for a sleeping tunic for one of Aenor and Efenwealt's kids.)
It's Shawn's birthday! Happy Birthday, Shawn-boy!
