First consult for a name
Oy. The client wants a name that he found in a fiction book and then found as a surname on the Web. Well I love challenges. He doesn't care about time or culture as long as the sound comes out "tashjain". I started with Low Country names but I think I have to migrate further east.
Devices are easier. Not as much research-fun but definately easier.
[Edit: didn't find that name but did find something that sounded very close. When he learned that it had come from the census list of a Guild of archers (he's an archer) the new name was far more satisfying. I sent him home with a set of alternate names and surnames to play with. Now it's just wait and see if he likes any of it on the long haul.]
