Gleek!
Went shopping (after sleeping - eating breakfast/lunch was such an exhausting activity that a nap just had to follow). Found that A.C. Moore is having a 30% off sale on unfinished wooden chests & boxes so I picked up a box to hold all my gleek/laugh & lay down/losing loadum gaming pieces. Or rather, the decks of cards, the rules ('cause I am still learning them) and all the little "mini craft sticks" I will be using as gaming pieces. Yeah, I know that min-craft sticks are kinda sucky as gaming pieces go but they're not as icky as M&Ms get - and "real" coins are going to be used for the Bullfrog guests so I needed something else to use for my gaming kit. Since the 'real' coins will only be wagered 'per game' rather than 'per round'.
Anyway, we're hosting a gaming night this Friday to start getting people accustomed to the new games. I'm really looking forward to it. They're fast and easy - and require little in the way of accessories.
And then I need to get started on creating some other gambling 'sets' for Crowns, Gluckhaus, Ringing the Bull... whatever else I can get made before the event.
Gaming, peasant style. Okay, well, probably Nobility-style too, but still... fun! We may have a small event but it won't be boring, not if I can help it.
