Zack is in Las Vegas and Shawn will be in smalltown Georgia. There isn't a way to be close to either one of them.
The move to the Pacific Northwest would be in fulfillment of a promise Arni made to me when we got married - we were supposed to move there after he retired from the Navy. I've been homesick for decades. But once he did, we were established in the SCA and Boy Scouts and our kids didn't want to leave their school friends.
The Horde is everywhere. Its main grouping is in the Midwest but we've got a good number of Brothers on the Pacific coast.
As for Shawn, I expect that things will not be as rosy in the long run as he thinks they will be, and that we'll be helping him to move sometime after a couple of years. He may choose to head west at that point. I hope.
