New Glasses

New glasses are on their way. I should get them next week sometime. Arn's were made right there at the office but mine were a bit more, ah, challenging. I'm looking forward to them. We both opted for 'anti-glare' after we were shown what the difference was. Wow.

He's got to go in for glacoma screening. That's scary. But the Doc was pretty sure that it was just precautionary so I'm not as scared for him as I was when she first said an appointment would be scheduled. His eyes are about the same as always, in vision, while mine actually got a little better. The two eyes are evening out - one lost a little ground while the other one made up the exact same amount of ground. I rather like that. :) And together they both shed a little astigmatism. She can't explain how that happened (it confused her) but we both like it. :)

I did, however, learn that I am not a candidate for lasik surgery. Or contacts, so my Living History stuff is still gonna be the 'nearly blind embroidery lady'. (She said I *could* do lasik but I'd lose the superior near-sighted vision that makes my stitching so much easier. Ha! Figure me saying yes to that! As long as everything corrects to 20/20, I'm keeping my microscopic eyes!)

And now to tackle the Social Security office and the Virginia DMV.... *swoosh* SuperPaperWork Woman takes off!
