Well! Whodda thunk that a Monday would be better than a Sunday? I slept in and then got up and read email while in my jammies - a nice long gown of the 'grandma' variety, nearly floor length with long sleeves and smocking at the top. It's an updated version - it's of soft, soft t-shirt fabric. I mention it because, well because it makes me feel all warm and cuddly and takes me back to days when I was a child. I know it's not something grown women usually wear but I don't care.

I was sitting there feeling all naughty (bad girl! running around the house in your nightie!) watching the willow branches wave outside my front window and reading email when two Jehovah Witnesses popped up on my doorstep. Thank goodness I hadn't turned the light on or they would have seen me in all my country-grandma glory! As it was, I huddled in silence while they tried the doorbell (it's broken - again) and then knocked over and over again before they finally gave up. I guess the car in the driveway clued them in that someone was home. Man, I felt like I needed to apolgise to them for not answering the door! As soon as they were gone, I skadaddled to the shower and then got dressed. Just in case they came back. :)

Have had a productive housewife day and plan on continuing it into the evening. It's lovely outside. Arni is home early and is going to be mowing the lawn so I'll be inured inside, protected (sort of) from the scent of the grass. It's blooming so it is at the height of allergy-kicking for me. I love the smell of it. Of course. We always love what we can't have... (I love the look of long straight hair, tiny pert, um body parts, and faces without glasses, too. Of course I do. Maybe the next life I'll get my order in right.)

Brigit tells me there's a new Meredith Gentry book out. Goodie! Got something to look for at Barnes and Noble next payday. Okay, well, yeah, what I mean is I have yet another excuse to hit the bookstore. Assuming that I get past the history and mythology sections to actually approach the Sci-Fi department. Which is, evilly enough, beyond the mystery section. Arn and I always end up stopping there first. I could almost wish that we hadn't gotten hooked on historical mysteries. Almost.
