I'm in my trailer using the Internet for the last time - my office's materials have been inventoried and all that remains is for me to pack out my personal possessions and tear down our shelves. Then the trailer becomes the property of Technical Services so they can stuff it full of the equipment the staff won't need until next War. Today, my world is packing and cleaning. And hey - so it will be tomorrow, too!

The road behind me is noisy with the sound of cars and trucks passing by as everyone begins the process of tear-down. We are getting out tomorrow... weather being our determinate. There's a 60% chance of rain today and Sunday and only 40% tomorrow so tomorrow is our day to fold up the canvas while it is dry. Hopefully dry, anyway.

This morning the word came that little Avery, the child I had written about earlier, has passed on. She was a sweet and valiant child who didn't deserve the pain her last months brought her. May she be enjoying her release from this life - wherever her spirit has flown to.
