Blazon question

Alrighty, you artists, you. I've found something registered to my barony that I can't envision, to wit: Per pale vert and argent, a palet and on a chief argent a trident sable.

I'm thinking that it is a (basically) device that is green on the left, white on the right with *something* in the middle that is like a thin stripe (what color?), while there's a white chief with a black trident on it (fess-wise? Pointed what direction?)
