It's legal

Okay, the car is legal and I even switched the tags out. Driving up to pick up Shawn from his workplace yesterday was fun. He was outside chatting with another employee right in front of where I parked so I got the full view of his surprise when he realised that the black Explorer had his mother at the wheel. Heh. Of course, the recent (and ignorant) "Tax all SUVs" conversation on our SCA-kingdom List has got me feeling tender. My used car gets the same milage as a smaller vehicle would, at least until we reach a size that is too small to carry my gear. As someone who normally fills the tank twice a month or so, I was feeling very attacked. But blanket "cures" and statements are always being sprouted by ignorant people - look at Bush! No don't, unless you're on a diet and need to have your stomach too clenched to eat.

The person I offered my old Cavalier to has to wait for her husband to come home next week before she gives me an answer. I'm feeling rather sure that she's going to decline. She never liked my car in the first place. Shawn can't afford it (insurance and stuff for an entry-level worker such as himself tips the income-range too much) so I think I'll be talking with good ole TechnoMage (here's your head's up, Dude!) about the seriousness of his offer. Can't have the poor thing sitting in my driveway rebuking me for too long.
