Sweet! Well - in a weird way
Sep. 15th, 2006 11:28 amSo. I went to the gym and had my evaluation, which indicated that Life On A Treadmill was in my future for the next six weeks. Darn. I was hoping I could at least do *some* kind of exercise. But I see the point - it is good to build a bit of aerobic satying power before attempting lifts and weights and all that stuff. It made me smile to see that while all my levels came out in the 'needs improvement' area, which I had expected, of course, still my 'bicep strength' (you stand on a scale and p-u-l-l a bar up as hard as you can) was 93 pounds, which ended up almost off the scale and helped balance my overall to 'needs work' rather than 'shoot her now, she's a failure'. No, that's not what the actual computer readout said.
I'm heading out soon to go visit the hotel where I'm scheduling a household meeting (gotta scout the territory!) and then lunch hour should be over and I can hit the gym again. Need to get it into a daily routine while the mood is on me. Losing 15 pounds in a month is sure helping the mood stay, I can tell you! (No, you won't be able to tell. Heck, I can't tell. It won't show for another 30 pounds or so. Remember I'm BIG. A total loss of a few millimeters from here or there just isn't gonna register.)
I delivered the three baby gowns yesterday, got permission to make some for Gold Key to store, started working on Viking garb for a dear friend who only wears later period stuff and all is good in my world. Still.
Halycon days, eh? I even have the air conditioner off and the windows open.
