Feeling better
Nov. 10th, 2006 02:37 amAs I suspected, the worst of the 'eh' feeling went away after a day of sudafed, sleeping (or not) and general lazing about. I called my Deputy Mayor (and I apologise - SHE is not the person who has decided that all Department Heads are unimportant in the running of Pennsic) and we went over my department's budgets, what I need to have brought up at the meeting, and general chit-chat. She agrees with me that I'd be wasting money to attend except that she was hoping to have time to meet and talk all about 'how we want to do things'. I promised her I'd keep the cell phone nearby during Saturday if she should have a question for me. So that was nice, too.
Had a 'silly' moment. I've been overly warm for the last couple of days and thought, 'what the heck' and took my temp. Now, I konw that folks running fevers generally feel cold so I expected that my temp would be normal. Huh. A full degree below normal. That's so not fair! You'd think that if a person was woozy and sweating, the *least* the thermometer could do would be to register something _not cold_!
And may I say that Arni is the bestest husband in the whole world. He came home from work with chili from Wendy's. Don't know what it is about that stuff, but it always makes a cold seem less harsh. (And oddly, when I brought it up on the SCA Cook's list, a goodly portion of them agreed.)
