stitchwhich: (me)
1. When you look at the young kids in the Navy now, do you wonder how you did the job you did when you were THAT young?
More often, I worry about how they are keeping me safe. The're *babies*!

2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?
Lake Oswego, Oregon. Just outside of Portland - life on a lake, with mountains in every window and soft air, rampant blackberries and access to a couple of top-rated Universities... failing that, I'd like to be a gatekeeper for Herculeum.

3. Favorite comfort food?
Cheese Nips with cottage cheese as dip. Except for when I need candy, then it is red licorice. (The real stuff, not that plastic-tasting 'cherry' or 'strawberry' garbage.)

4. What got you into Viking Reenactment?
Finnr. He knew that I liked early-period research and was heavily turned on by embroidery so he talked up the Mammen Find, and the Oseburg, and was *such* great fun to be around. Originally, I thought I'd be able to talk more about the diffusion of Christianity into Europe by the Irish and Anglo-Saxons, but somewhere in there I got side-tracked.

5. Suppose you and I had the time and money to take a long vacation together--where would you want to take me and what would you want me to see?
"The Curve of Human Birth" - Chatal Hyukk, then down to Babylon, then along the desert towards Pakistan to see the huge carved walls of memorials, the Greco-Indian temples, the pre-Hindu civilisation that thrived along the Indus and Chinab rivers.

I think I really enjoyed coming up with all those questions. And now I want to play 'spin the bottle' or something at a post revel and get to ask/hear the answers in person - and point at other folks and make them answer too!
