I've gone straight
May. 1st, 2007 09:55 pmYep. The curl is gone. Today I had my hair shampoo'd, cut, and styled. And the stylist, after hearing me talk about how I wanted it in layers to reduce the weight and because it has a good natural curl that I wanted to show well decided that I 'needed something different' and used hot tongs to straighten the whole thing. It looks horrible. It looked great between time of cut and time of drying. I'm hoping that the damage she did with the iron (it steamed for a full minute after each swipe) will be minimal and the curl will return after a couple of shampoos.
Just before a wedding. Of course. Add to that a disastrous shopping trip to find an outfit to wear to the wedding and it was a cruel few hours for me.
Luckily good friends were here to share the evening with and a new steak-dinner-delivery service was explored - as well as Silhouette's mail order clothing service.
And now I and my incredibly flat, straight hair are going to bed. Early.
