Lovely evening
Sep. 15th, 2007 02:43 amIt's a quarter to three in the morning and the last guests are gone - like all good evenings, we didn't really wqant to stop talking.
We did play One Verse, but really, I think we spent more time talking and (of course) eating lumpia. I'd forgotten what an easy and mindless food that is to make. The One Verse session was brisk at times and slow at times and punctuated by occassional groans and outcries when someone sang a particularily 'bad' song. (Bad may mean 'Oh my god, what IS that you are singing?' or it could mean "You fink! I was going to sing that on my turn!" or worse, "Fabulous. Great. You've earwormed all of us and we will never be able to get that out of our heads long enough to think of something else for our turn.' Those ones were the best. Of course.)
Next time, we have to talk folks into hosting it elsewhere so allergies and seating space won't interfere with the fun. :)
And just once, I'd love to play it truly cut-throat. Not that I'd last long - but it'd be fun to listen as the competition sped up.
