Minor Dilemna
Mar. 7th, 2008 10:13 amHmmm... maybe it's just my pride standing in the way.
Today I received an email from someone who belongs to the Adrian Empire... their organisation is the only one that will be able to attend a local library's annual festival that we normally support very strongly (we have a date conflict). So she had heard about some demo set-ups that I do here - things like laying out various foodstuffs and challenging the visitor to sort them into "known/not known in Europe before Columbus". She wants me to send her the information on how to do those demos.
Now, I spent a goodly amount of time researching these and they are currently unique to the SCA in our area and I'd like to keep them that way. Maybe because I know that once they get "out" to other 'competitive' demo groups I'll have to come up with something else for me to do. But this is for a demonstration for the public and to deny assistance ultimately harms that public.
But still - I don't wanna share my toys. Someone help me get over that.
