minor grump

I recognise that folks get tired of typing things, or even just answer this way for a variety of other reasons, but it still kinda gets me when a scholar writes in an online discussion, "[tidbit tease] ... see my book [title] for the actual explanation/story." I know I should not feel it is so, but I find it to be, ah, unprofessional.

And yeah, I recognise I may be the only person to feel that way. And yeah, I understand they need to earn a living and deserve to profit from their work.

But it still seems niggardly.
