I got my good humor back a couple of hours after I posted yesterday. Had a nice talk with my Deputy Mayor and all is well. She is easy to work with and doesn't create yet more rules, which I really appreciate. I had to remind myself that every year bring a new autocrat so every year bring a different trickle-down philosophy to the staff, sometimes one that doesn't even reflect the autocrat's own ideas. So my feeling of being done was short-lived.
Becky/Elizabeth came over yesterday and helped me cut out fabric for Arn's new late-16th clothes so today I am not suffering from post-cutting back pain. Hurray for Becky! And she gave me an excuse to avoid some other work by letting me do some stitching on her garb. Hurray again. :)
The outfit is probably not quite correct-to-period but it'll be close enough that only my friends who are experts will know the difference. (And any of them that'd like to tell me what I could do to the next set to make them better, I'd appreciate it.) He'll be in linen-on-linen, an odd choice I know, but since he doesn't wear that style of clothing often we opted for what would be most comfortable throughout the years and in the seasons he'd most likely be wearing it.
