Okay, it looks as though I'm really going to go this year. I've been once - good conversations alternating with long, long periods of boredom is what is in my memory. So I'm trying to set my expectations. So you folks who go a lot - IS there anything going on there that has to do with the series about "Darkover"? Do people actually ever wear costumes (excluding the regency ball. And why, I've got to ask, is there a British Regency Ball at a Fantasy-novel convention? How'd that come about? I mean, I'm a fan of regency romances and all that, but it's a far cry from Darkover.) What is there to do? I ask in all ignorance - the last time I went was my only convention experience and I was there mainly to hang out with Jae and to take part in a memorial. So my experience is very limited.
