Book haul! Lego Haul!
Dec. 1st, 2008 10:09 amw00t! You know, when you don't expect to get anything at all, something like this is just stunning...
Birthday book haul:
a boxed set of 3 of Jane Austen's novels
A "Fitzwilliam D'Arcy" book
Cloth and Clothing in Early Anglo-Saxon England AD 450-700 by Penelope Walton Rogers
The Archaeology of late Celtic Britain and Ireland, c. 400-1200 AD by Laing
Lego haul:
Troll Assault wagon http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=7038&cn=473&d=70
Dwarves' Mine Defender http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=7040&cn=473&d=70
Add to that one of the most delicious German Chocolate cakes (and 'deluxe' M&Ms, Crayola markers for heraldry stuff, and one of those new air-tight containers I've just started collecting to use in our cooler so stuff like cheese doesn't turn into cheese slop), and dinner out at a restaurant of my choice.
I had a very, very nice b'day. Just thinking about it makes me smile - even while I was doing our monthly finances. (And that says a lot!)
Heh.
[edit: Epp! Shawn, look! It's listed as 'hard to find'! Oh dear! http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=7036&cn=473&d=70 (Shawn and I made a deal - I'll buy him his 'want it' lego set if he'll buy me legos for our Giftmas presents to each other. We're indulging our Inner Child. Actually, we're spoiling our Inner Child but I'm good with that.)]
