Today and Yesterday
Jan. 2nd, 2010 11:47 pmNew Year's Eve was spent at the Hellar's house, where I haven't been in far too long. It was very pleasant and I wish I'd not gotten so sleepy so early as the party was still going when I dragged Bossman away. Naturally, as things for me go, as soon as I got home and went to bed, I was sleepless and up most of the night, finally falling asleep just after the sun rose.
But Friday was very nice - folks started coming over for our card game in the late afternoon and we had a couple of surprise guests to introduce to the addiction... we played for six hours, laughing the whole time, and losing mightily. At least, in my and Bossman's case. Although, come to think of it, I 'came in second'.
Again with the sleeplessness and the day-sleeping. Bossman treated me to breakfast (at 7:30 at night) in our favorite breakfast restaurant and then we watched TV for the rest of this evening. Now it's almost midnight and I'm gearing up to get some work done.
But first this update of the "totally boring, isn't it nice that it's so" style. To tell you the truth, I think I prefer that over sad news and stress-stuff, even if it isn't all that interesting to read.
Um... the chill factor is at 10 degrees. I guess that's sort of newsworthy. It sure is when I have to go into the garage to do the laundry (which I've GOT to get going tonight!). Think I'll fold clothes in the kitchen. Where it's warm.
