Apr. 12th, 2011 03:18 pmArrrg! I have one of those annoying 'floaters' in my right eye. It was small and smack dab in the middle of my vision field yesterday - that was bad enough. Now it is unrolling, unfurling, whatever, it is long and skinny and still smack dab in the center of my vision range. It is driving me absolutely bonkers! I have a little black rain cloud that keeps getting in the way of what I'm trying to see!
Yesterday I got a new pair of glasses, specifically to wear while I sew. No, not to help me see my stitches, my normal vision is fine for that, but to make it so I can see anything more than two feet from my face. Like the TV, for instance. Or my friends chatting with me while we fibre-geek. Yay! We paid a little extra so they'd be of the same 'thin lens' stuff as my regular glasses, but otherwise insurance covered the whole thing. I'm very happy with them and am looking forward to watching TV tonight with my sweetie and being able to sew again. Under that wonderful seamstress' lamp that he gave me which I haven't used because I could never see my sewing with my regular glasses.
I was out running errands this morning and was done before I was done. Meaning I still have things on my to-do list but I was done, done, done. Ever have one of those days?
Oh, and I broke a record, or something. Yup. I stopped in at a hair salon and - - - let them dye my hair. Yes, I did. Nothing too dramatic, but it is closer to the shade of my youth and that makes me smile. And I'm betting with myself that my beloved won't notice until he reads LiveJournal. Heh he. :)
