Dia--somethings
Sep. 16th, 2011 04:28 pmYou know when you want to use a letter that isn't commonly on the keyboard? Like ó, or ð or ý? there's a handy chart or webpage of those, isn't there? I know there is. But since I can't remember what those little thingies are called (I get stuck at "dia--"), I haven't been able to google for a chart.
One of you knows. I know you do. Help? Pretty please? So the next time I work on my proto-LoI I don't have to keep going to the O&A and inventing fake searches in order to find words that contain the symbols I need?
"hmmmm... need an a with an umlaut. German! Must find a German word! I shall search for "Klaus" in the name pattern search and there's got to be a last name that will have one! Oh, I need one of those thingies... that's Norse. Yeah... search for, um, "Hrolfgar". Yeah, that should do it... Now what language uses those little triangles above an 'o'? French, maybe? Hmmm.... what's a good French name?"
You don't really want me to do that every month and fill up a computer-generated 'sticky pad' with cut & pasted letters, do you?
See my icon?
This is my "I'm begging you" face.
