May. 27th, 2012 11:47 amWe daytripped Ruby Joust and it was a good decision. The day was beautiful, though hot. I cannot imagine how the fighters managed in that heat, but they were still on the field when we left in the afternoon.
It was wonderful seeing so many people and having a chance to say hello or even more.
The heat got to me, though, after I decided to get out from under the shade and walk around the listfield (I was on a mission) - between the heat and some pain, I was washed out. Ended up laying down in the backseat of the car with a couple of pillow. I could have happily stayed there the rest of the day but my travel-mates decided that they were ready to leave too, so off we went. I was in bed by nine in the evening... and slept until eleven this morning. I'm still a little shakey.
But I had fun, by golly! I don't regret going! (I do regret missing things, like JC's vigil and elevation.) I can't wait to see the pictures people are going to post.
