On the way home from KWHSS we stopped at a New Jersey Gas/Food/Rest Rooms stop and found a TCBY (which are not located anywhere near our home) and they had - - - wait for it - - - soft-serve no-fat frozen yogurt cones. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the taste of it and ice cream, but then I haven't had ice cream in a very long while. MMMmmmmm.... It made being on the Jersey Turnpike totally worth it in my book. Right now there isn't a brand of ice cream/yogurt that is low enough in carbs to let me eat more than 1/2 cup at a time and I'm just not going to tease myself with that little. Yeah, I do have those nifty ice cream pops from Weight Watchers and Skinny Cow (and have just found low-fat Klondike Bars) but s-o-f-t ice cream? I misses it, I do.
And just now, after doing my weekly penance (shopping at the Commissary and passing up all the stuff I used to buy), I ate a sweet, sweet Hershey's Milk Chocolate with Almonds bar. Another one of those things that I don't get to eat often. And boy, did it taste wonderful. (No, it's not the bestest chocolate in the whole world, but it is my idea of 'take me back to comfy home chocolate" and I savored every nibble.)
