Mar. 12th, 2013 03:55 amFor once the cold that laid my husband out and lingered forever has only kicked me slightly - I spent most of last week feeling tired and wanting to sleep but otherwise was fine. That, my friends, is rare anymore and I am now feeling a bit smug about it. Back in the day (why yes, I am over fifty, how did you guess?) such a state was common for me. Everyone around me would be down for the count and I'd be chugging along getting stuff done, then down a tad but not enough to not get my houswork done, and back up again.
It can just keep on being like that.
Today was catch-up day. I've laundry in the washer & dryer, dishes washed, new cooking equipment cleaned and ready to try out (stovetop smoker) and a pot of beef stew completed. Email has been read but all the good stuff isn't answered yet - I did save that for when I felt I'd be moe coherent.
The house is redolent with the scent of the stew. It is making me feel full, just smelling it.
