I forgot about the difference that the Gleevec makes - a week without it and you'd think I'd be able to just slide back in to being used to the exhaustion! 13 more months, by the Gods, and then I swear I'm done. The damned cancer had better never show its face again.
In the meanwhile, I'm trying to catch-up on admin things. And sewing things. I thought I'd have a new cooler cover for tomorrow's event but alas, a 'quick trip' to the fabric store turned into an afternoon of driving from one to another with no success. All I wanted was a couple of corded rosettes. Or even two large ornate buttons. The top half of the cooler cover has the corner fabric folded in to the middle on each side, creating a perfect spot to place something ornate and eye-catching. And to incidentally cover over the (somewhat) raw ends of the looped trimming. But rosettes don't seem to be in style in the upholstery departments any longer. Just tassels. Arni'd kill me if I put tassels on that cover - all those strings hanging in the way each time we opened or closed the lid! I know what would end up happening to that cover!
So my wasted afternoon trying to accessorize the large cooler's cover ate into all the sewing time for creating the smaller cooler's cover. Tomorrow it shall have to wear a folded tablecloth. Poor thing.
