Ah, the neighborhood is battening down. Our across-the-street (smart) neighbors have parked their 'curbside' car in their yard, while the folks who park in the (always floods) cul de sac have moved their vehicles to someplace else. We're discussing moving my car from the driveway - on one hand, it will be up high enough to be out of potential flooding* but that does place it relatively close to the willow tree. Should a branch fall, it'd have to be propelled sideways to hit my car, but still... we haven't decided.

The wind is picking up and the tree, by the way, looks lovely as the leaves shift in the wind.

And WOW! The satellite picture of the storm is impressive!

*We don't expect more than some minor flooding, say about a little over the curb height.
