Me too. I tried talking to her before Christmas about her necessities for reentry into the US and she got mad at me & ceased communication because I'd insulted her - I mentioned the new rules under Trump and said that it was a good thing she wasn't a person of color (she's from South Africa so latest reports are that non-whites are having difficulties getting through the Border Guards). Her husband is a conservative Republican, as is she (insofar as a non-citizen could be) and she took offense, I think, at my comment pairing "Trump" with "difficulties getting into the states". She thinks it will be no problem to come back in, and thinks I'm just repeating propaganda when I warned her about having to surrender her phone and social media passwords. She'll learn.
