Jul. 2nd, 2018 02:59 amHaving recently learned that my occasional gawd-awful sinus headaches are more likely to be migraines, the powers in charge of headaches have been hammering the lesson home - I spent the weekend with one long and miserable headache that kept me away from just about any noise. My computer screen wasn't too bad but almost any sound was 'too loud'. Having a partially-deaf husband didn't help me to gauge what was loud or soft - everything is soft to him!
He cooked a lovely breakfast this morning (or rather, lunchtime) which stayed where it belonged and I went back to bed. I'm up again in the middle of the night but the headache has subsided to just a dull ache in the back of my skull and behind my eyes.
What I'm curious about is how-the-heck to people with migraines get themselves up to go to a doctor and get them diagnosed and then receive medicine which might help alleviate the pain or effects? If I'd been asked to move, much less dress and ride in a car, I'd be losing extra pounds by emptying my stomach every few minutes. I think I admire those who can get to a medical facility.
I did manage to wash almost all of the new fabric and get it folded up. It is ready for me to turn it into something new for Pennsic. Or to cut into pieces to be handsewn at Pennsic, depending on whether or not I can handle the sound of my sewing machine. Right now I vote 'not' but logic tells me that this tenderness in my head will fade at some point in the next few weeks.
So that is all my news. Boring as all get out, isn't it.
