Grump Alert!

We have a demo. My husband, who is not attending the demo so he can drive to Richmond for the Seneschal symposium (ask about his new key!) will be busting his butt setting up the baronial pavilion, probably our own pavilion, and toting out the baronial tables and such for the demoing folks. And on the day of the demo, I will bring all my stuff, my chair, our two benches, extra water and a cooler of food (along with extra tablecloths) to the demo... so why amy I grumpy? Because someone just posted about how they'd be willing to come out but 'their pavilion takes too long to set up for just one day, they need extra tables, and they must be in the shade so their clothes don't get sun-faded'.
Yeah, uh, sure. I live to serve.
*sunny smile* Okay, I got that off my chest. I feel all better now. It IS an offer to help, they ARE very interesting to the public, and few folks know, or even care, how much prep work goes into setting up for a demo, even if they've been in the SCA longer than our current King. It's just folks... folks is folks and some are more helpless than others. That's why we're here - eh? So I've grumped and now I'm all better. And I'm gonna re-read 'desiderata' one more time to make sure I keep my balance, again.
