I don't have dental insurance and even if I did, it would cover the bare minimum. Plus the dentist doesn't take most insurances. I spent a small fortune as well. The dentist's billing office was willing to give me 10% off, if I was able to pay upfront with a check and am over 55 or 65...which I am. If you can pay with a check for future treatments, see if you can get a discount. Every little bit helps. They want to do certain treatments, have learned to say no. Told them my budget was done for this year. Will make an appt next year and cross fingers all caps, crowns whatever are done for awhile.

Have a real hate on for Wells Fargo as well. In 2008 had 10 grand with them. Economy went south, I tried to cash stocks in. They convinced me to wait. I waited, my stocks were eventually down to 700 or so. Decided to cash it in. They charged me 300 or so fee and all I got from the 10 grand was 200 bucks. After we bought our 2nd house, Wells Fargo bought the mortgage note a year or so in, I was damned if they were going to make money on me so we paid the mortgage right off. If they can find a way to screw ya, they will.
