stitchwhichThe Viking-era coat is finished except for the placement of the brooch pin loops. That would involve me finding the danged pin. Ah well, at least a lot of dusting is getting done (and a lot of putting-back-where-it-belongs) as I search the two rooms where it most likely is located.
I called our supplementary health insurance provider since the Tricare site won't load for me and naturally their phone service is jammed with panicked callers... what the act means is that any employer who has more than 20 employees cannot pay/co-pay for a Tricare Supplement policy. Tricare-eligible employees are on their own - there can be no shared funds going into the policy payments/fees. So it take the Big Businesses off of the hook concerning health care insurance for military retirees and puts it squarely on the retiree.
Luckily for us, Arn's company is largely made up of military retirees so ensuring their continued health is a real issue for the company - they've already located a retired-military organisation that sponsors insurance supplements from our present provider and have signed up for membership all the folks who currently use that provider. All we'll have to do at year's end is take over paying our membership dues and our own monthly insurance fees.
Of course, we don't know how much higher those fees will be without the company paying in - so I'll still have to do some shopping around to find the best co-pay insurance.
