This will only make sense to the folks who I've ranted to about my recent doctor's appointment.

I just got a letter from my doctor's office. Since my ENT appointment was the day after the scan, the CT doc didn't have time to read the results before I saw the ENT specialist. I just brought a CD of the raw data with me to his office. The "real" results were sent to my regular doctor just last week.

My Doctor's letter said,
"Dear [insert my name here],
Your sinus CT scan was abnormal. Please follow up with the ENT doctor as planned..."

I have to laugh. About that "second opinion" we were all thinking I should consider - perhaps I shouldn't let on that I've already seen an ancient ENT at the office they referred me to and he's sure that the problem is TMJ or tense muscles in the back of my head? That he looked at the CT scans and wasn't concerned about what he saw there? ('Cause you know that intense stabbing pain deep inside the ear frequently comes from overstressed muscles in the back of your skull...)

Gawd, I needed the belly laugh that letter gave me. Earlier this week I was wondering why the doctor's office had left a message on my phone about me needing to schedule an appointment - I thought they'd just had a computer glitch and had crossed some wires somewhere in the secretary's office. Guess I'd better call them back and see what they want me to do now.
