Now I know how a rat feels when a terrier catches it by the scruff of the neck and gives it a good shake... I've had the flu. My house has degraded from 'disorganised" to "dirty" to, ah, well, let's just say that looking at it now makes me more tired than all the coughing and choking does. But like all good guests, the flu is already packing up to move out and I have hope that tomorrow I will feel well enought to be able to excavate my home out from under all the dirt.

I can't believe we had friends over yesterday. Was I insane? I'm quite sure my reputation took a beating over that stupidity! (And I bless my husband for BRINGING ME SOME Diet Pepsi*! and cleaning out the kitty box this afternoon. Poor cat. She shouldn't have had to suffer just 'cause I was sick. Too bad our friends had to see it if they went into the bathroom. But then, they saw the dirty dishes in the kitchen, the scruffy floor, the... you get the picture. At least I could offer them some Diet Pepsi.)

So now I'm feeling better, somewhat, the fever is fading and I'm not coughing as much but the brain isn't really aware yet. I should work on email answers but instead I'm typing here. Am I coherent? That would be nice.

Oh, and this http://www.koreus.com/video/chien-danseur.html really amused me. I think I'll share it over on the AA.

*Yes, I am aware that drinking caffienated beverages is a bad idea when one is suffering any kind of sinus difficulty. I am also aware that going through withdrawal during an illness ain't all that smart either. So there's a balance us Pepsi-addicts have to strike during colds or flu. I am just grateful that Arni didn't have to deal with me peeling his face off or something while I madly searched the house for just one more can of my favorite poison-cola-of-choice.
