1. What have I taught you as your student?
To be more careful of my time with my protogee, to make more room for it in my daily week.
2. What is favorite Pennsic memory?
Landgrab day back when I was the land agent and Jafar was it for Cognoceti, and (Fast)Viscount Sir Edward was the Staff Land Guy, and LIttle John was one of his deputies. Walking the ground, making jokes, smiling at each other - I miss those days. I miss Al, too, the Cooper Staff guy who passed on a couple of years ago trying to help folks with their stranded cars. Al always had a smile and a harrassing-tease for me. He was one of the most stand-up guys I knew and worked his butt off so low-key that he just always seemed to be there at my elbow whenever we were taking care of a knotty problem.
3. What is one decision you regret making?
Not going back to college to finish my degree and be able to get a real job.
4. Who inspires you in the SCA?
long term - My husband. Corny, I know but there you are. I would have quit more than once were it not for his love of the Society.
5. If you could choose to give one of your SCA awards to someone else who didn't have it which one would it be and why?
I would give my Court Baronacy to Chimbai, a member of the Great Dark Horde who has woked hard and long at Pennsic, who has problem-solved between many a Khan and a King, and who travels to events in three different Kingdoms so much that no one Kingdom can claim him so he has nothing more than an AoA - I've worked with him on Pennsic Staff for over 16 years. I've seen him negotiate treaties and watched him calm down people who were nearly at knifepoint with each other so well that they didn't take their talents away from the SCA, much less continue to spit in each other's direction. So yeah, I'd give him a baronacy.

1.Why did you join the Horde?
I liked their work ethic and the idea of being a part of a Nation within the SCA that didn't have its policies dictated by a Hot Stick. (Not that many of those HSs aren't great folks with level heads - that's luck for the Kingdoms but not policy.)
2.Who has inspired/influenced you the most in the SCA?
Grafin Judith von Grunwald and Earl Kane. Although lately... my sister Aldis.
3.If you had to pick a different time period which one ?
I truly regret that I don't do more with my interest in 5th century Romano-Brit/Germanic culture.
4.What is the hardest part about being a Peer?
Remembering to tape my damned mouth shut and my fingers together.
5.Now that your kids are older, is there a part of raising them would you do different, if so what?
I would home school Shawn and have been more academically strict with Zack during High School.
