... So stop focussing on the folks who will, if things go as they normally do, host secondary dinner parties and hover around the White House on the off chance that there will be something for them to do that is, you know, important while they wait to see if the president is gonna keep breathing all the way through their term of office.
When it comes to abortion, I'm a pro-choice*.
When it comes to foreign policy, I do not support blanket invasions and occupations.
When it comes to gay rights - I don't understand people who don't understand that all humans should have equal rights.
When it comes to teaching psudo-science in school because someone else's religious path says that's the truth... well, nope, can't support that either.
My vote is going to the candidates who I am more aligned with in my world views. I could, pardon the expression, give a sh*t care less about someone's personal life - that is, and should have been all along, their business.
*I will do all that I can to ensure that we never, ever return to the America of my youth where children were forced into becoming mothers before they were even finished physically growing. I will never, ever support returning to self-induced hanger-abortions and suicide attempts after rape-pregnancies, where that fear was a constant presence in the back of every young girl's mind, much less in the minds of women.... sorry. If you are opposed to pro-choice, that's you'r gig - exercise your conscience on your own body. But don't ever presume to extend your worldview onto someone else's.
And I say that as someone who did conceive a child and chose to give him up for adoption rather than abort him.
