So I had the allergy test yesterday. Boy, do I know what I'm allergic to! And was I surprised to learn that there were some things I thought I was allergic to that I'm not. Seems that Elm and Oak (the new bad guys) pollenate at the same time as pine and spruce (the presumed bad guys), which translates out to "you can safely go home to the Pacific Northwest without worrying about breathing while you're there." Well - unless it's ragweed season. Or if any form of grass (excepting MaryJane, they didn't test for that) is breeding. But still, goodie! It's safe to go home! I'm not allergic to mold, either. (This is important for Oregonians.)

Should I ever get to go... my High School reunion is this October but I'm doubting that I'll bother spending the money after travelling to St. Louis for a LH-Viking shindig in September.

There are no tiger stripes on me. Those are oh-so-passe now. Instead I have maybe three little marks on one arm from when the doc got startled during our conversation and punched a tad too hard - had we not been discussing the Spanish/Portugese Jewish diaspora during the time of Ferddy and Izzy, I would have been fine. So anyway, I had a lovely chat with the man, learned a bit about a Jewish dialect spoken by Italian-based Portugese Jews (thems that left their homes in the diaspora and settled in enclaves in Italy, where they developed a jargon that was best described as "a romance version of Yiddish". He was (Russian)Jewish, his wife (Ladeno?)Jewish - it was a cool conversation. I'll be starting shot therapy in September. Wow. A five-year committment but by the end of it, I should be able to go back outside during the spring and the fall AND be able to tolerate old, old books (guess what type of dust I'm allergic to. Yup.)

It required no special effort for me to sleep 8 more hours like a normal person and then I got up, went shopping (everyone should experience shopping at the commissary on the Friday of the Fourth of July weekend when it's also payday). But for all the crowds, I found freshly-stocked Rainer cherries, nice, juicy, red, red, red-almost-black firm bodied cherries.... yummmmm..mmmm.mmmm And at a price that guarenteed I bought 6 pounds of them. That will last me through the weekend. Maybe.

We went to Sprint to buy Arn a new phone. He's been using the same one since we started our services with them 6 years ago. The new phone was very nice and it only took 15 minutes to buy it. Too bad it took two and a half hours to get called from the waiting line to speak to a rep. I should have wondered about the service when I noticed the security guard, coloring books, and magazine rack in the middle of the store.

And then we went to see Batman as a reward to ourselves. Good choice. If you haven't seen it yet, one word of warning. DON'T buy the large drink if it's a hot day. You'll drink too much at the beginning of the movie and there is really nothing but pain waiting for you by the end. 'Cause leaving for a minute is not an option.

Is there anyone out there who can explain to a computer-dummy how to write that HTML code so my whole friggin' entry isn't showing up on my friend's pages but instead I can have a shorty-note and a link to the "probably boring" parts? I'm feeling guilty... signed, too verbose
