Somebody hurted me
Apr. 22nd, 2007 01:49 pm...they sent me to look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wN_eRZ4C9Q . Luckily, I know how to use my back key. Although, I guess I would have joined in when they sang it yesterday at Xzor's wake. We've had too many losses in our GDH family in the last month.
Yesterday's Khural was enjoyable. I love getting together with my Brothers. It was a business-meeting, with what that entails, but it was made easy by the wit and the quickness of glib that I so love in my friends. Little Mary fell asleep on the way home so her mom and I had a chance to chat away without interruption - although by the end of the trip, I think we were both too tired to talk about anything in depth. Or maybe it was just me. Two nights of short sleep were catching up.
Took care of that as soon as I got home. 10 hours of straight sleep can sure make a person groggy! waking up to sweet Italian sausage cooked by my husband shook the grog out of my eyes, though, and guaranteed a smile. He manfully gave up one of his sausages when he saw me staggering out of the bedroom to the Orange juice. Have I mentioned before that I love my doctor's orders to drink orange juice every day? Potassium in a natural container. Yeah, I know about bananas - but my OJ is better for iron-deficient women prone to weight retention. Or at least, that's what the doc says. :)
Today, I finish cutting out my new wool coat so I can get it sewn in time for Blackstone Raids. Can't have a shivering Viking! The wool is marvelously thick but is a goat/sheep blend and is scratchy. I'm going to have to sit at a table to sew it so I can keep the bulk of it off of my lap and away from my bare forearms. And I'm sewing in a linen lining, which I admit, I've never done before and am nervous about doing well.
A-Viking.... *sigh of happiness* This is what I love to be a part of http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/nav.10603
