Saw the doc. I told him about the last dermatologist I'd seen (back in Oct of 2008) and he looked alarmed at what I'd told him about the guy's mannerisms. He encouraged me to contact the office manager and relate the incident*. And he supplied the word "arrogant" for me while I was struggling to come up with a way to describe the dermatologist. So I have a referal to a different practise, which makes me happier.

I also have an appointment with a GI specialist, where we will discuss what to do about my recent ER visit and the results of the CAT scan that was done there.

Oh, and as a side note - sometimes it is good to be slow to break one's fast... it turned out that the doc wanted a fasting blood test done and since I had planned on eating after I saw him, I could do it then. Ah, the advanages of trying to combine errands! The store with the salad bar was on my way home so I'd put off my meal until after I could drop off there. Handy, that.

Before I went to my appointment I had a great, long, phone conversation with my Apprentice. That was grand. I misses her, I do.

*I'd gone in because I have a weird litle not-healing sore on my shin. While there, I mentioned that there was an odd patch on my arm that I didn't like and asked him what it could be. He grabbed my arm, rotated it to see the patch and reached behind him to grab a can off of the shelf - then sprayed the patch with (I think) some kind of freezing chemical. I have a flat scar there now. I'm glad the pach is gone but still feel angry about having him do that without even identifying what it was, much less asking my permission to treat it in that manner. And thank goodness, my physician agrees with me about that and feels that the managing staff need to be aware of the incident.

Do you know what I've been wondering? On the pleated hangerrocs, which way did the pleats fold? Yes, I know that they were 'open' towards the underarm on one apron, but - how about the others? And is there an extant piece that indicates whether or not the pleats changed direction at the middle of the apron or if they all headed in the same direction all the way across?

These things are how I spend my day-dreaming time...
