Lazy day ahead. I started lazy this morning, waking up soaking wet from another fever breaking (hey, I got past Turkey Day cooking, so I'm grateful) and decided to take some medicine to break up the congestion before showering. So I did that and sat at the computer. Got distracted by my project and folk's entries, then got sideswiped by a youtube reference which led to about 45 minutes of watching 'flash mob' videos. Those are fun. But it's been four hours now and I'm still at the computer - - in my bathrobe.

I have not much planned for the day. There's a turkey carcass waiting to be de-boned after being steamed in a pot last night, and all the drippings are standing by to be added in with it for a nice pot of turkey noodle soup. This time with noodles meant for soup, so I don't end up with 'turkey noodle casserole' as I did with my chicken last week. Don't get me wrong, it was very filling and tasty, but was not what I was aiming for. Although I did get two bags of noodles, which I can't remember even buying, they're that old, used up and out of my cupboard. That is one of the goals for this winter - totally use up all the supplies currently on hand. I used to do that quite a lot, but after backing off from cooking, my supplies have just been sitting there, season after season. They need to be used and replaced. That this means home cooking and (uh-huh!) cookies is delighting my husband.

My time-twin (Lady Aurora of Wookie's household - we were born the same year, date, and hour - but in different time zones so she's really one hour older than me) gave me all of her unsold fabric left over from her booth at Holiday Faire so I can convert it into Gold Key items for our barony. You know how it goes, the good stuff gets loaned out and doesn't seem to return while the 'eh' stuff languishes in there. [livejournal.com profile] donnavenice took on the task of refurbishing the closet and I offered to help. So my goal of reducing my fabric supplies has now taken a giant (one large, LARGE trashbag worth) step backwards but is already being addressed.

Laundry has GOT to be done. I am so behind. As usual. And there is a set of new travel-bags that I'm knitting to protect new pottery purchased at Holiday Faire. Which reminds me, I need to contact Eadric about the providence of one piece. It is a Twelthnight gift and I want to make sure the recipient is comfortable with using the gift 'in persona'.

I am 18 days from finishing the beginnings of my medieval feasts calendar. Right now I'm working on December 13. Once I finish with the 31st, I can begin cross-referencing names in order to reduce duplications (my plan is to annotate the various observance dates but to combine all the information about the saint under one date - hopefully their dies natalis [death date]). After that, I can really start to dig into the legends and stories associated with each one, but at a much more leisurely pace.

And I'm am being a very slack Herald and need to get off my duff and get started on my work there, too. And the same with organising the new Living History (Viking era) group. I put off anything requiring real cognitive ability until after the sinus-fog would lift... I'm starting to be able to think again, so I guess I'd better get with it.

And I still need to finish Their Excellency's chairs.
