Feb. 4th, 2011 01:19 amI messed up my new computer and don't know how to fix it.
See, the power went out while it was booting up for the first time. As I was at the "Do you want to create back-up discs?" phase and was staring at the screen in dismay because I had no discs. So when it shut down, I didn't worry much. I thought that meant that I was slow to answer, or something (what do I know about computers?)
Bossman bought discs for me, I turned the computer on, and now it tells me that there is a Windows failure. It'll boot up, it just won't do anything else after creating the opening window/scene. Then it tells me there is an error and offers me the opportunity to re-boot in four modes. I'm thinking that I should select "safe mode" and see what happens. Either that, or take the computer to the Geek Guys at Best Buy (I got it from BB) and see what they can do with it.
