stitchwhich: (Lego Viking Woman)
I had dental work done yesterday. Just two fillings (or rather one filling and one replacement. Who knew those suckers wore out over time?) but she used two different types of numbing agent and I had the oddest reaction to one of them. Or so I assume. I started shaking and couldn't keep my head (and my jaw, separately) from quivering. It was very disconcerting. Everything stayed still while she worked, of course, because she and her assistant were leaning on my head (or sort of - you know how that goes) but when they were done with the first filling, the replacement one, I just sat there and shook and was slightly nauseated. After about 10 minutes it subsided.

Once I got home and the stuff wore off completely, I felt even worse and went to bed. I suppose I should call her office and find out what she used. It'd probably be something I should record somewhere.

My jaw hurts now. But hey, I splurged and 'practised' eating with a bag of peanut M&Ms. I haven't had any of those in a long while and my little calorie/carb book tells me that it was a darned good thing that I skipped dinner. It was worth it.
