Well, actually, YOU don't have to be there. Only me and my ride... who is going to have a rougher time of it than I will during the expected four hours of procedure time.
With luck, this will mean a cessation of leg cramps, thigh numbness, and inability to be on my feet for more than 10-15 minutes. I may even be useful during packouts and camp setups. How about that?
"Arni! Hrothny has a shovel!"
"I know! I gave it to her!"
With my prayers for Scott's full recovery and Marion's quick passing of her disease, I'm not even really concerned about this thing for me. I'm already looking past it at what I'll need to do to get my resilience back. That is going to be wonderful. What a nice Mother's Day prezzy from the vascular specialist. (Who, btw, is one of the most attractive guys I've met, with a friendly and open face like a young hobbit. Not hot & sexy (thank goodness) but rather someone whose smile makes you just want to relax and chat a while. Same with his manners. A good man.)
