Aug. 14th, 2013 01:30 amI gathered up my gumption and restarted the Gleevec on Saturday. I'm well into the adjustment period again - sick, tired, in pain... yadda, yadda, yadda.
You're all right, those of you who commented before - I can do this. I hate and resent every minute of it but I have to remember that this practically is a cure and that I'm damned lucky the side effects are as relatively mild as they are. I can hold my own at home and am not in a hospital or needing nursing care.
I will carry on.
I can't help, though, envying those others who are taking this drug and have hardly any side effects at all. Many of them are my friends via our support group, and reading about their lives is both gratifying and jealousy-feeding all at the same time.
