Dec. 4th, 2021 04:34 amLordy, I have barely touched my computer all of November. I am now going to try to catch up on everything my friends here have posted.
Everything is going peachy here except that I have an infection surrounding my last wisdom tooth, which is unerupted. The infection spread to the root of the molar nearest to it so that one is going to have to be pulled. It may have spread elsewhere, which might explain the pain in my ear and the hinge of my jaw on that side. (The Xray showed a huge white area where the wisdom tooth should be and looks to be about as large as my thumb. That would be the worst area of infection.) This flared up the Monday before Thanksgiving, of course, so turkey day and my birthday that followed were not as nice as I'd wish. Monday it'll be assessed by the oral surgeon and then we'll see how it goes. In the meanwhile I've had antibiotics and am living on the maximum dosage of Motrin allowed. I miss - really miss - my normal snacks. Popcorn, nuts, carrots, celery, apples... It hurts to even think of biting into any of that.
We have two days of virtual meetings for the SCA going on right now. My meetings are, of course, spaced out throughout today from 10-5 with one or two one-hour breaks. Tomorrow I have two meetings bookending the day's schedule. Thank goodness only one is a google meet and the rest are zooms. I am going to leave my avatar up during the zoom meeting and work on addressing holiday cards. Most of the kingdom's Order meeting are a boring hash of name reading followed by "poll", "watch", "drop" and I sure as heck don't need to devote all of my attention to that. I will be able to hear if/when I need to truly join the conversation.
