The flyer for Barnacled Bullfrog has been sent to the Chronicler and the Kingdom Event Deputy. Yay! I hate writing event flyers (it shows) so I'm very relieved right now.

The gym is great. G_R_E_A_T. I actually was a little pouty-faced about not going on Saturday & Sunday. I guess I could have gone on Sunday but I was wanting the maximum of "Arni Time" so I didn't. One must have one's priorities, after all and between work and activities I don't see nearly enough of my man. Besides, we both needed to buy shoes and now he doesn't have an excuse to avoid walking with Opi. And we learned that if you order from the Land's End catalogue at your local Sears store not only will they deliver directly to your house but they will waive the delivery fee too. How handy is that? So now we're set for the gym and for Pennsic*.

But still... it really is "recess". Playtime. Thanks to all the great advice I got here I've divided my weight training into "A" and "B" days and I've printed out a little card that fits in my pocket to help me remember the weights for each machine along with which day I should be working on it. Nearly each day for the past week I added one or two new machines to my workout. I expect that I've probably hit max, maybe**, and now have about 30 minutes a day of weight training. When I started two weeks ago I was 'assigned' only four machines for a total of 20 minutes or so, mostly arm work. NOw I've got a full-body workout going and last Thursday I added 30 minutes on the treadmill - my nefarious plan to dupe myself into having fun was working and I was feeling the emptiness of not doing anything aerobic after I was done with the machines so I just had to try the big walking treadmills, right? So I have a little over an hour a day going on right now.

I have had to up my weights on most of the machines but there are three that I just can't yet - the regular workout I'm doing on them leaves me sort of shakey and in pain, a bit, before I finish my reps. I have to pause in the last set, for each of them, to rest a bit before I can finish the set (not long, maybe 5 - 10 seconds, but I do have to rest). So I figure that I shouldn't up the weight on those. But on the other ones - well! Wussy lady is ramping it up, darlin'! And I've oozed over from the row of Strive machines to add in a Nautilus one. Soon, soon, I will have to work both aisles of weight equipment. Ha hahahha!

Recess! Almost time for recess again!

*I admit, I rarely wear my period shoes at Pennsic. The walking on uneven ground generates far more pain when I do. I try to wear something that doesn't scream out at a person, though.

**Upon typing that I flashed on the "thigh machine" and thought, "Okay, maybe not just yet."
