I needed that.
Jul. 13th, 2009 09:38 pmI don't think today qualified as a "Monday" for me...
First, Opi & I went to the gym for some muscle-challenging goodness. And on the way, picked up some blank CDs (on sale!) so I can cut some new 'travelling to Pennsic' mixes.
Then I got a nice nap in a wonderfully cool house.
Then a call from Catalina letting me know that they have finally found out what is causing her pain and it's going to be fixed (surgically, unfortunately) soon so she can, thank the Gods, move and eat and even just sit pain-free.
Followed by Lauren coming over to help me sew little tunics (Yay!) - which neither of us were really in the right mind-space for and, it turned out, we were hungry, Arni was hungry, Opi came over and he was hungry....
So we went to William & Sarah-Beth's neighborhood pizza place.
And ate like pigs. Nom, nom, nom. They had a stuffed-crust meat & cheese lover's as well as a "Tex-Mex baked pizza" (it has a criss-crossed baked top crust like a fruit pie would and is filled with all the hot stuff you'd put in a taco, with lettuce, tomatoes, and salsa served on the side. It tasted great with or without the side stuff on it). I skipped the pizza and went for "pasta & cheese" - four different cheeses melted into a sauce mixed with shell noodles, covered in spiced breadcrumbs and more cheese, and then baked. I concur with Lauren's opinion of it with her first taste, "That has got to be illegal in at least four different states." It was that decadent. Nom....
And now I'm back in the sewing mood, everything seems really "do-able" and I'm gonna leave this computer to go back to making little bits of early-period clothing for Da Cutie.
