Ears. Buzzing. I'm tired of the ear-buzzing. It's like a badly-damaged speaker is always on in the background. More like, the foreground, now that I think of it.
I've got the big mucking pork shank brining away in my largest event cooler (the only one it will fit) and laughed to myself while I poured Kosher salt into it's water. Somehow, that's just wrong.
I gave myself stress-relief permission yesterday and took myself to a nearby Mall with a food court. As happens sometimes, there's one chinese-fastfood place that features a really great meal for a really low price. And they're used to me realising that I left my chopsticks at home and have to ask for some. I thought the stress was going to dog me when I realised that I'd gone to the Mall without a book to read and that B&N was alllllllll the way down the other side (too far for my aching feet) and then I spotted - Walden's. Hey! That might work. It did, a sequel to a fantasy book I'd enjoyed was just out in paperback, so armed with that and a new bookmark (I love bookmarks and save every one I've ever been given), I ventured to my little Chicken Teriyaki place. MMMmmm.... much goodness. Freshly-sauteed chicken on a bed of rice and stir-fried veggies. Yum. Stress passed, tummy sighed in contentment, and I went on to a much brighter day.
It's all good.
