Geeky giggle

I just ran across something that made me snort out loud...
A monk who was on the Medieval Religion email list took over the 'saints of the day' posting for a brief while many years ago - his lists were always a little sweeter to read than those made by other folks, as his loving faith shone so clear in what he wrote about each saint. But then I got to March 21, and this entry:
"SERAPION, bishop of Thmuis (4th cent)
Serapion, bishop of Thmuis,in Egypt, a friend of S. Antony . . .
is said by S. Jerome to have suffered for his zeal in the orthodox
cause, under Constantius, when the Arians were in power.
This year's Lent competition is to write a limerick beginning
"Serapion, Bishop of Thmuis . . ." "
Oh my. I have giggled my way through fifteen replies of varying badness (in all shades of 'bad') including one three-verse limerick that was a hoot of puns.
*shaking head* The things we find while doing research... and here I thought I was just taking abreak from wrapping gifts and cleaning bedrooms. heh.
